VigorSwitch 系列產品可應用在固定或是動態流量品質上設定。在固定的應用方面，可以讓用戶自行設定頻寬給不同的部門。舉例說明：業務部可以設定較高的上下載，而人事部門可以限制較小的流量。 再以動態流量而言，DrayTek 的流量品質管理可以讓原始的資料有較高的傳輸速度，例如：應用在語音電話的 QoS 功能，可以讓語音變的清楚響亮。
為了延伸外部的網路傳輸安全性，VigorSwitch 系列在用戶存取方面採用 IEEE 802.1x 認證。 另外，同時提供 MAC 過濾，來管理每一個台電腦的連線。用戶亦可自行設定成固定的 MAC 方式來管理電腦的上線服務。
針對內部管理安全機制，使用者不需個別設定電腦群組。採用虛擬網路的做法 ( VLAN ) 可以簡易的設定不同群組間的流量及存取。唯有相同群組的電腦才能彼此相互存取。
VigorSwitch G2240 提供 24 port 支援 10/100/1000Mbps 或可選四個 SFP 的模組來當網路介面， 合適網路延伸及管理使用。
